What You’ll Do

  • Manage the development and implementation of the Employee Health and Wellness Strategy.
  • Lead the design and review of Employee Health and Wellness programs aligned with departmental objectives.
  • Oversee the execution of wellness programs, including health screenings and awareness campaigns.
  • Ensure adherence to the DPSA Employee Health and Wellness Strategic Framework and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and monitor annual implementation plans to track program delivery effectively.
  • Identify emerging wellness risks and design suitable interventions to address them.
  • Provide strategic advice to management regarding employee health and wellness issues.
  • Facilitate awareness and capacity-building initiatives for employees and management.
  • Supervise the wellness unit and manage resources effectively while ensuring budget compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Human Resource Management, Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Health, or Public Health.
  • Registration with relevant statutory bodies such as the SACSSP or HPCSA.
  • 3–5 years of experience at the Junior Managerial level in an Employee Health and Wellness environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the Public Service Act, DPSA frameworks, and occupational health policies.
  • Excellent program and project management, financial management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and travel extensively, with a valid driver’s license.
