What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the implementation of wellness management programs.
- Implement the Health and Wellness strategic framework.
- Facilitate assessment, counselling, and referral services for vulnerable employees.
- Analyze needs to identify psycho-social risks and recommend interventions.
- Organize managerial training and life skills training for employees.
- Conduct annual reviews of wellness management policies.
- Oversee the implementation of HIV and TB management programs.
- Manage Health and Productivity Management programs.
- Lead health screenings and awareness initiatives according to health calendars.
- Prepare and compile Employee Health and Wellness reports.
- Manage external Employee Health and Wellness service providers.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Social Sciences (NQF7) or a relevant qualification recognized by SAQA.
- Registration with HPCSA as a Counsellor or Psychologist or with SACSSP as a Social Worker.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in employee health and wellness, with at least three years at a junior managerial level.
- Knowledge of Project Management, EAPA SA standards, and relevant health frameworks.
- Understanding of HR practices, Public Finance Management Act, and departmental procedures.
- Strong planning, communication, and leadership skills.
- Advanced counselling and EAP skills, along with the ability to analyze and develop policies.
