What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to support economic empowerment initiatives.
- Establish and support enterprises across all sectors, focusing on vulnerable groups.
- Facilitate engagement between stakeholders to promote collaboration for economic empowerment.
- Create and implement B-BBEE intervention programs to enhance participation from disadvantaged groups.
- Provide both financial and non-financial support to local enterprises to boost their growth.
- Identify economic opportunities suitable for target groups and develop strategies to access these resources.
- Design and implement capacity-building and mentorship programs in partnership with stakeholders.
- Enhance the competitiveness of local enterprises through product development and market access initiatives.
- Manage resources effectively in alignment with legislative requirements.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Commerce, Business Studies, Economics, Business Management, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of five years’ experience working with business communities and disadvantaged groups, including three years in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license (note: exceptions can be made for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of national and provincial policy frameworks, local government systems, and economic development trends.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience in people management, team leadership, and project management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on client orientation and diversity management.
