What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the development and implementation of training programs for Community Health Workers.
- Design, implement, and monitor community health programs focused on improving public health outcomes.
- Develop and review policies and guidelines for Community Health Workers in line with primary health care models.
- Assist provinces in creating business and operational plans for community health initiatives.
- Ensure community health programs align with national health policies and strategies.
- Regularly assess the performance of community health workers, providing constructive feedback.
- Manage the development of HRH policies to introduce new health worker categories into the health system.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships and manage information systems related to training.
- Monitor and evaluate health programs to assess their impact and ensure objectives are met.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and an NQF Level 7 qualification in Health Sciences recognized by SAQA.
- A qualification in training or development would be an advantage.
- At least three years of relevant experience in primary health care, preferably at the Assistant Director level or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of primary health care, community health worker programs, and health promotion strategies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and independently while collaborating with team members.
- Willingness to travel and work irregular hours, along with a valid driver’s license.
