What You’ll Do

  • Manage the Collective Bargaining Unit and coordinate collective bargaining activities.
  • Prepare and obtain mandates for collective bargaining sessions.
  • Represent the employer in collective bargaining structures and liaise with disputing parties to resolve conflicts.
  • Handle industrial actions in accordance with applicable legislation and policies.
  • Provide direction and advice on all labour relations matters, ensuring adherence to procedural and policy standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and administrative structures for comprehensive labour relations services.
  • Identify needs for improved labour relations services and formulate relevant programmes and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with national and provincial policy frameworks in all areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain discipline among staff members and promote a culture of efficiency and quality.
  • Execute HR performance management and chair disciplinary enquiries as required.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7/6) in Labour Relations, Labour Law, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant Labour Relations environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of labour laws and dispute resolution mechanisms.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage conflicts and intervene in crises effectively.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective planning, organizing, and project management abilities.
  • Sound financial management skills and developed computer literacy.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work beyond normal hours.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide strategic leadership under pressure.
