About the Role
The Eastern Cape Provincial Manager’s Office is seeking dedicated individuals to fill eight positions for the Deputy Director: Business Partnering role across various provinces, including Free State, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Northern Cape, and Western Cape. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and monitor staff mobility and conditions of service processes across the province.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including advertisement, selection, and onboarding of new employees.
- Ensure consistent application of staff mobility policies, including temporary reassignments, secondments, and transfers.
- Manage HR-related matters such as leave, incapacity leave, and termination processes.
- Administer service benefits including housing, salary, and overtime applications and payments.
- Monitor and manage HR Management Information Systems like PERSAL and HR Registry.
- Lead Performance Management, HR Transformation, and Culture Change initiatives.
- Implement employee relations and health and wellness programs effectively.
- Develop and coordinate Human Resource Development programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, policies, and procedures while coaching staff on best practices.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or related fields at NQF level 6 recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in junior management or assistant director level roles within HR management or development environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Employee Relations, Employee Wellness practices, and PERSAL.
- Familiarity with the Public Service Regulatory Framework and related legislation.
- Strong project management abilities and experience with online systems.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work extended hours.
- Essential skills include project management, service delivery innovation, people management, decision-making, and effective communication.
