What You’ll Do
- Manage the budget and procurement processes within the branch, ensuring compliance and financial control.
- Compile and monitor monthly reports related to expenditure, procurement, and contract management.
- Provide strategic planning and reporting support to branch leadership.
- Coordinate and consolidate inputs into Strategic Plans and Annual Performance Plans (APPs).
- Implement management decisions and ensure quality assurance of all documents before submission.
- Offer secretariat support and manage stakeholder engagements, including parliamentary queries.
- Maintain effective office management services for the Deputy Director-General.
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder database and prepare communication materials.
What You’ll Need
- A Degree or National Diploma (NQF6) in Public Administration, Management, or a relevant field recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a related field, with at least three years at an Assistant Director level or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of strategic coordination, planning, and professional report writing.
- Understanding of project management, risk management, and business planning.
- Familiarity with government policies and legislation such as PAJA, PAIA, and PFMA.
- Excellent planning, organizing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in advanced office applications, including the MS Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
