About the Opportunity

The Department of Tourism, in partnership with Harambee and SANParks, invites applications for the Integrated Service Excellence Programme 2026. This initiative aims to enhance employment prospects for young individuals in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industries. Participants will engage in a 12-month contract, gaining hands-on experience and industry insights.

Key Responsibilities

– Participate in various roles within the tourism, hospitality, and travel sectors.
– Assist in delivering exceptional customer service and visitor support.
– Contribute to service excellence initiatives in conservation tourism environments.

Requirements/Qualifications

– South African citizenship.
– Aged between 18 and 35.
– Possession of a Grade 12/Matric Certificate.
– Submission of certified copies of ID and Matric certificate.
– Proof of residence within 30 km of the participating site.
– Passion for travel, tourism, and hospitality.
– Clear criminal record.
– Declaration of previous participation in Department’s programs.

Benefits

– Monthly stipend of R4,600 based on a maximum of 23 days worked per month.

Participating Sites

Opportunities are available at various sites including Free State, Mopani Rest Camp, Oliphants Rest Camp, Phalaborwa Gate, Shingwedzi Rest Camp, Punda Maria Rest Camp, and Marakele National Park.
