What You’ll Do

  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Participate in health promotion programs to educate the community about oral health.
  • Manage and utilize stock and medication effectively to support dental services.
  • Maintain infection control standards and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Perform necessary administrative duties related to patient care and dental operations.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification or prescribed in-service training for Dental Assistant registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Dental Assistant.
  • For Grade 1: No experience required after obtaining the relevant qualification.
  • For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years of appropriate experience is required.
  • Willingness to provide clinical services after hours, if necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B/EB) and willingness to travel.
  • Competency in computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
