What You’ll Do

  • Provide desktop support for ICT hardware and software issues.
  • Set up IT equipment and install necessary software.
  • Monitor and update Surveyor General User Accounts and IT inventory.
  • Ensure smooth operation of desktop support and Local Area Networks.
  • Maintain IT security services and manage applications, networks, and hardware.
  • Conduct regular backups and monitor backup policies.
  • Manage user accounts and ensure timely deactivation for former employees.
  • Coordinate with external service providers and internal stakeholders for ICT services.
  • Develop operational plans for cadastral spatial information.
  • Facilitate training and development of interns and in-service trainees.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science (NQF Level 6).
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in an IT environment.
  • Strong background in hardware and software technical support.
  • Experience with server and network management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ICT policies, risk management, and internal controls.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
