What You’ll Do

  • Support partnerships with government departments, NGOs, and private sector entities.
  • Assist in implementing the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (NCCAS) to build resilience against climate change impacts.
  • Provide technical support for climate-related projects, focusing on the Loss and Damage programme under the UNFCCC.
  • Coordinate the operationalization of the National Framework for Climate Services (NFCS) to deliver essential climate information.
  • Facilitate adaptation initiatives within sectors such as Agriculture, Water, and Biodiversity to enhance their climate resilience.

What You’ll Need

  • A four-year degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences or a relevant qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Six years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of climate change, environmental management, and related policies.
  • Proven skills in project management, policy formulation, and report writing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working under pressure.
  • Innovative and proactive mindset with leadership abilities.
