What You’ll Do

  • Manage patients admitted under a level 2/3 package of service facility with professionalism.
  • Prepare and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient care.
  • Actively participate in academic programs and training to foster knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct clinical audits to assess and enhance service quality.
  • Support hospital management in maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and performance management assessments.

What You’ll Need

  • Appropriate qualifications for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in General Surgery.
  • A valid work permit required for non-South African applicants.
  • Sound knowledge of medical ethics and current health policies.
  • Strong clinical assessment and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in the respective medical discipline: less than 5 years for Grade 1, 5-10 years for Grade 2, and 10+ years for Grade 3.
