What You’ll Do
- Manage patients admitted to the level 2/3 package of service facility.
- Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in academic and training programs to foster a culture of learning.
- Conduct clinical audits to assess and enhance patient care standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of current practices.
- Collaborate with hospital management to maintain high-quality patient services.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and assessments as part of the performance management system.
What You’ll Need
- Qualifications that allow registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Paediatric Neurology.
- A valid work permit for non-South African applicants.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics, multidisciplinary management, and teamwork.
- Experience in the relevant medical discipline (Grade 1: less than 5 years, Grade 2: 5-10 years, Grade 3: 10+ years).
- Strong clinical skills in consultation, history taking, examination, and management.
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, sometimes beyond normal working hours.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current health policies and regulations in the public service.
