What You’ll Do

• Manage patients admitted to the level 2/3 package of service facility.
• Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in academic and training programs to foster a culture of learning.
• Conduct clinical audits to assess and enhance patient care standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of current practices.
• Collaborate with hospital management to maintain high-quality patient services.
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews and assessments as part of the performance management system.

What You’ll Need

• Qualifications that allow registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Paediatric Neurology.
• A valid work permit for non-South African applicants.
• Sound knowledge of medical ethics, multidisciplinary management, and teamwork.
• Experience in the relevant medical discipline (Grade 1: less than 5 years, Grade 2: 5-10 years, Grade 3: 10+ years).
• Strong clinical skills in consultation, history taking, examination, and management.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, sometimes beyond normal working hours.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of current health policies and regulations in the public service.
