What You’ll Do

• Execute medical duties and functions proficiently while adhering to patient care standards.
• Manage patients admitted to a level 2/3 service facility effectively.
• Assist in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in academic training programs and clinical audits.
• Engage in continuous professional development and support the hospital management in maintaining high patient care standards.
• Comply with the Performance Management and Development System by conducting quarterly reviews and final assessments.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualifications for registration as a Medical Specialist in Vascular Surgery with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) by 2026.
• A valid work permit if you are a non-South African.
• Sound knowledge of medical ethics and multidisciplinary management.
• Experience in the respective medical discipline.
• Competence in clinical assessment, history taking, and management.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure, and beyond normal working hours.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of current health policies and the ability to mentor junior staff.
