What You’ll Do
- Execute medical duties and functions proficiently while adhering to patient care standards.
- Manage patients admitted to a level 2/3 service facility effectively.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in academic training programs and clinical audits.
- Engage in continuous professional development and support the hospital management in maintaining high patient care standards.
- Comply with the Performance Management and Development System by conducting quarterly reviews and final assessments.
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualifications for registration as a Medical Specialist in Vascular Surgery with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) by 2026.
- A valid work permit if you are a non-South African.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and multidisciplinary management.
- Experience in the respective medical discipline.
- Competence in clinical assessment, history taking, and management.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and beyond normal working hours.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current health policies and the ability to mentor junior staff.
