What You’ll Do

  • Plan and manage infrastructure programs and projects according to the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS).
  • Develop procurement strategies and infrastructure management plans while keeping project budgets up to date.
  • Prepare and present project briefs to the Implementing Agent, ensuring all inputs are integrated effectively.
  • Oversee the procurement process for professional service providers and contractors, including bid specifications and evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor project implementation and ensure compliance with service delivery agreements.
  • Review and sign off on various project execution plans and implementation plans.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and legislative changes relevant to the construction and infrastructure sectors.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the update of departmental policies.

What You’ll Need

  • A degree in Built Environment at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
  • Registration as a Professional Construction Project Manager with SACPCMP.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
  • A valid driver’s license and proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury regulations, and various construction-related legislation.
  • Strong understanding of project management practices and construction procurement standards.
