What You’ll Do

  • Conduct visual checks and repairs of all plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Plan and execute major plumbing maintenance works within the hospital.
  • Inspect new and existing plumbing works completed by contractors.
  • Supervise and support tradesman aids and handymen.
  • Maintain detailed records of job progress, materials used, and fault reporting.
  • Manage daily maintenance, emergency repairs, and routine preventative plumbing tasks.
  • Promote effective human resource management and sound labor relations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with new plumbing technologies and practices.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of Grade 12 education.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship and passing of the trade test in plumbing as per the Manpower Training Act of 1981.
  • At least 5 years of experience post-trade test in the plumbing field.
  • A valid Code 08 driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Excellent technical and practical skills related to plumbing.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in planning, organizing, and leading teams.
  • Computer literacy and ability to compile reports effectively.
