What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support Community Development Workers in your designated area
- Coordinate community development initiatives and ensure alignment with departmental objectives
- Foster relationships with stakeholders and other governmental bodies
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery and governance, providing necessary reports
- Lead managerial and supervisory functions to enhance team effectiveness
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree (equivalent or higher)
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Community Development
- A valid code B (or higher) driving licence (candidates with disabilities restricting driving but with reasonable transport access are encouraged to apply)
- Strong knowledge of community development principles, social systems, and legislation
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and computer skills
- Competence in project management, report writing, and problem-solving

Requirements
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience recognisable experience in Community Development after obtaining the required qualification; A valid code B (or higher) driving licence.NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Community development knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to engage in the social development of communities; Understanding of human behaviour and social systems and legislation to assist with interventions at the points where people interact with their environments in order to promote self- empowerment; The ability and competence to co-ordinate community development structures and ability to manage projects; The ability to influence individuals and group to participate in their own self-empowerment ventures.
