What You’ll Do

  • Manage community development structures and projects to ensure effective implementation.
  • Supervise the identification, facilitation, and execution of integrated community development interventions.
  • Collaborate with community members and relevant stakeholders to enhance project outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to community development practitioners to promote effective communication and coordination.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to community development activities.
  • Stay updated on new developments in the community development field to improve service delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognized qualification at NQF Level 6 or equivalent in Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • A minimum of seven years’ relevant experience in Community Development post-qualification.
  • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (excluding persons with disabilities).
  • Strong understanding of community structure dynamics and current legislation.
  • Excellent management skills for overseeing community development initiatives.
  • Proficiency in research, report writing, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Computer literacy and financial management skills.
  • Effective presentation and project management abilities.
  • Knowledge of the Public Service Management Framework, including PFMA and Labour Relations Act.
