About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Programme Coordinator Grade 1 (Comprehensive) to join its team in the Breede Valley Sub-district, an area that plays a vital role in the health landscape of South Africa. What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and implement sub-district health programs including HIV/AIDS, STIs, TB, and mental health services.
- Support community outreach initiatives and projects that improve health outcomes.
- Assist in strengthening health program systems and strategic partnerships.
- Provide clinical expertise and supervision to health facilities in line with quality assurance policies.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of integrated health services.
- Facilitate training and skills development initiatives within the health care framework.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum educational qualification of a Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- At least 7 years of appropriate nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
- Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and willingness to travel and work overtime when required.
- Strong knowledge of departmental health programs and quality assurance policies.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, facilitating, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
