About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Programme Co-ordinator Grade 1 for the Mother, Child and Women’s Health Programme, based in the Msukaligwa Sub-District within the Gert Sibande District. What You’ll Do
- Implement and monitor maternal and child health policies and guidelines across clinics and hospitals.
- Conduct clinical audits to ensure compliance with health standards and frameworks.
- Analyse program indicators such as maternal mortality rates and immunization coverage.
- Develop Quality Improvement Plans based on data findings.
- Facilitate training and clinical support for junior staff and nursing students.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote best practices in maternal and child health services.
- Ensure adherence to departmental objectives and quality assurance protocols.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate/Grade 12 and Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent, allowing registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant nursing experience post-registration with the SANC in General Nursing.
- Specialized experience in Maternal and Child Health services, with 3 to 5 years preferred.
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data analysis and report writing.
- A valid driver’s licence.
