What You’ll Do

  • Provide quality primary health care, including preventive and curative services to clients.
  • Supervise and support nursing staff to enhance service delivery and maintain standards.
  • Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Conduct clinical audits and develop quality improvement plans to elevate nursing care standards.
  • Educate patients and staff to promote health literacy and self-care practices.
  • Manage patient records effectively, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain resources and ensure their proper utilization for efficient health service delivery.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote health initiatives within the community.

What You’ll Need

  • A Matric Certificate or Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
  • Diploma or Degree in General Nursing Science and Midwifery, allowing registration with SANC as a General Nurse.
  • A one-year post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment, and Care (PHC).
  • Current registration with SANC (2024).
  • Relevant nursing experience, with a minimum of 4 years for Grade 1 and 14 years for Grade 2, including substantial Primary Health Care experience.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable nursing legislation and patient care policies.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
