What You’ll Do
- Provide and perform clinical nursing practice in line with the scope of practice for primary healthcare services.
- Plan and implement health promotion and prevention activities tailored to community needs.
- Collaborate with community structures and non-profit organizations for better health outreach.
- Collect and submit data and reports punctually to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Assist in managing human and equipment resources effectively.
- Facilitate clinical teaching, training, and health education initiatives.
- Offer effective clinical services that meet the needs of the community.
- Participate in research activities aimed at improving health services.
What You’ll Need
- A Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- A post-basic nursing qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment, Treatment and Care, accredited with the SANC.
- Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse is essential.
- For Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years of appropriate nursing experience, with at least 10 years in a specific specialty after the post-basic qualification.
- Valid driver’s license and a willingness to work overtime and provide outreach services.
- Competency in nursing procedures, knowledge of nursing ethics, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
