What You’ll Do

  • Manage surgical sundries, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and miscellaneous stores efficiently.
  • Promote health and preventive care among clients at the facility.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in updating procedural guidelines and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Address grievances and manage labour relations in line with prescribed procedures.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care.
  • Implement infection control standards to enhance healthcare quality.
  • Conduct health promotion activities within the clinic and community.
  • Assess training needs and plan in-service training for staff.
  • Participate in data management and the attainment of National Core Standards.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
  • Clinical experience: 4 years for Clinical Nurse Practitioner Grade 1; 14 years for Grade 2, including 10 years of experience after obtaining a 1-year Post Basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care, SANC Regulations, Quality Assurance Programs, and Batho-Pele principles.
  • Leadership, supervisory, communication, and report writing skills.
