What You’ll Do
- Provide comprehensive primary health care services to offenders.
- Conduct routine examinations, diagnosing and treating minor ailments.
- Develop and implement individual nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in clinical audits.
- Manage medical stock, including ordering and controlling supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for effective service delivery.
- Contribute to administrative duties including statistical reporting.
What You’ll Need
- Degree or National Diploma in nursing with four years of relevant experience post-registration.
- Post-basic qualification in Primary Health Care accredited by the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Current registration as a professional nurse with the SANC.
- Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
- Knowledge of nursing care processes, relevant legal frameworks, and health programmes at the PHC level.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage performance information.
