About the Role
The Department of Employment and Labour is seeking a dedicated Client Service Officer to join its team at the Makhado Labour Centre. As a Client Service Officer, you will play a vital part in facilitating registration services for work seekers and learning opportunities on the Employment Services System (ESSA), ensuring that citizens have access to employment resources that can enhance their livelihoods.
In your day-to-day responsibilities, you will engage with the community, providing essential administrative support and referrals for employment counselling services. By connecting individuals with opportunities, you will contribute significantly to the economic development of Makhado and its surrounding areas. What You’ll Do
- Register work seekers and opportunities on the Employment Services System (ESSA)
- Refer job seekers to employment counselling services
- Provide administrative support for the placement of work seekers into job and learning opportunities
- Engage in general administrative duties as required
- Participate in advocacy sessions to promote employment services
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, Labour Legislation, and the Employment Services Act
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities and strong listening skills
- Proficient telephone etiquette and interviewing skills
- Ability to interpret legislation related to employment services

Requirements
Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate.Knowledge: Departmental policies, procedures and guidelines, Labour Legislation and Regulations, Employment Services Act, Public Service Act and Regulations, Batho Pele Principles.

Job Duties
