What You’ll Do
- Effectively register patient information on the Clinicom system.
- Manage state finances responsibly and ensure sound cash management.
- Capture all attendances and admissions accurately, including during downtime.
- Maintain medical records by opening new folders, filing, and archiving.
- Implement relevant policies, procedures, and instructions efficiently.
- Handle telephone and over-the-counter inquiries professionally.
- Provide support to supervisors and staff members with ad-hoc administrative duties.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject, or relevant experience.
- Appropriate experience in Patient Administration, Medical Records, and Clinicom.
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Office).
- Knowledge of Clinicom and Hospital Emergency Centre Tracking Information System.
- Familiarity with the PFMA, Hospital Fees Memorandum 18, and finance management responsibilities.
- Understanding of filing, archiving, and disposal processes for patient records.

Requirements
Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’s)of the post.Experience: Appropriate experience in Patient Administration, Medical Records and Clinicom.
Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (which include night duty, weekends and public holidays) and overtime to meet operational requirements.
Comply with internal rotation schedules within the component.
Competencies (knowledge/skills): Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel and Office).
Knowledge Clinicom, Hospital Emergency Centre Tracking Information System.
Knowledge of the PFMA, Hospital Fees Memorandum 18 and responsibilities linked to finance management.
Knowledge of filing, archiving and disposal process of patient records.
Job Duties
Effective registration of patient information on Clinicom.Handling of state monies - responsible for sound cash management.

Medical records; open new folders, record keeping, filing, drawing of folders, merging, culling, archiving and the disposal of patient folders.
Ensure effective and efficient implementation of all applicable policies, procedures and instructions.

Support to supervisor and staff members.
