What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support for public participation programmes.
  • Coordinate and organize public meetings and outreach campaigns.
  • Compile attendance registers, agendas, and minutes for meetings.
  • Maintain databases of stakeholders and community members.
  • Assist in implementing community participation projects.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence related to public participation activities.
  • Liaise with communities, ward committees, and various government departments.
  • Maintain records and filing systems for all public participation activities.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 qualification or equivalent recognized by SAQA.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy.
  • Strong understanding of public administration, customer care, and relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge of national, provincial, and local government structures and their relations.
  • Sound understanding of community structures and programme management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent minute-taking and report writing skills.

Requirements

Grade 12 and/or equivalent qualification as recognized by SAQA and be computer literate.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of the legislation/policies/prescripts and procedures in the Public Service, Customer care and public administration, Understanding of national, provincial and local government structures and relations, Sound knowledge of community structure, Programme and project management.
