What You’ll Do
- Assist in training schools on maintenance project criteria and emergency repairs.
- Participate in evaluating completed maintenance projects annually.
- Interact with municipalities to resolve building plan and service issues.
- Conduct building condition assessments to inform school maintenance strategies.
- Develop and implement plans addressing compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Monitor and assist in the preparation of disaster management plans for schools.
- Draft and validate school maintenance plans and budgets.
What You’ll Need
- National Diploma in Built Environment or N3 with a passed trade test in the built environment, or registration as an Engineering Technician.
- A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
- Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Building Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
