What You’ll Do

• Assist in training schools on maintenance project criteria and emergency repairs.
• Participate in evaluating completed maintenance projects annually.
• Interact with municipalities to resolve building plan and service issues.
• Conduct building condition assessments to inform school maintenance strategies.
• Develop and implement plans addressing compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Monitor and assist in the preparation of disaster management plans for schools.
• Draft and validate school maintenance plans and budgets.

What You’ll Need

• National Diploma in Built Environment or N3 with a passed trade test in the built environment, or registration as an Engineering Technician.
• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience.
• Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the National Building Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
