What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage procurement strategies and infrastructure management plans.
  • Prepare and oversee project briefs, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Participate in the procurement processes for professional service providers and contractors.
  • Monitor project implementation and adherence to service delivery agreements.
  • Review and approve project execution plans and budget allocations.
  • Facilitate the preparation of maintenance plans and evaluate ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate project commissioning and ensure optimal usage of facilities post-project completion.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment.

What You’ll Need

  • A university degree (NQF 7) in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
  • Registration as a Professional Quantity Surveyor with the SACQSP.
  • A valid driver’s license and proficiency in computer skills.
  • A minimum of six years’ experience in the field post-qualification.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Construction Industry Development Board Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Strong project management and financial monitoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
