What You’ll Do

  • Promote and develop physiotherapy services at DP Marais and Brooklyn Chest Hospitals.
  • Manage and oversee the physiotherapy unit, ensuring effective policy formation and strategic planning.
  • Supervise and mentor junior physiotherapists, conducting quarterly evaluations to support their professional growth.
  • Coordinate administrative activities related to patient care within the unit.
  • Manage physical and human resources effectively to enhance service delivery.
  • Facilitate student placements and provide training and supervision.
  • Engage in research and investigations relevant to physiotherapy practices.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Physiotherapist.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a registered Physiotherapist.
  • Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license and willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
  • Extensive clinical experience in an acute or specialist hospital setting, particularly in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, and Cardiopulmonary care.
  • Strong managerial skills and knowledge of relevant health legislation and public service policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
