What You’ll Do
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of HR administration within the college.
- Administer conditions of service, remuneration, leave, and employee benefits effectively.
- Process and monitor personnel transactions including appointments, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records and employee files.
- Handle PERSAL transactions and resolve personnel and salary-related queries.
- Provide administrative support for recruitment, selection, and performance management processes.
- Advise staff and management on HR policies, service conditions, and legislation.
- Compile HR statistics, reports, and submissions for compliance and decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to DHET HR policies and Public Service regulations.
- Assist with HR audits and compliance checks.
- Supervise HR staff, managing their workload and performance.
- Promote a customer-focused HR service that maintains professionalism and efficiency.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
- A recognised three-year National Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or a related field at NQF Level 6.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resource Management or Administration.
- Practical knowledge and experience with PERSAL; relevant certification is advantageous.
- Sound understanding of Public Service legislation, HR policies, and collective agreements.
- Knowledge of conditions of service, employee benefits, and personnel administration practices.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise staff effectively and manage workloads under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements
Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.A recognised three-year National Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Personnel Management, Public Management or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 6.
3–5 years’ relevant experience in Human Resource Management / Administration.
Practical knowledge and experience of PERSAL; relevant PERSAL certification will be an advantage.
Sound knowledge of Public Service legislation, HR policies, regulations and collective agreements.
Knowledge of conditions of service, remuneration, leave administration, employee benefits and personnel administration.
Knowledge of personnel records management.
Computer literacy, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Good communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, planning and report-writing skills.
Ability to supervise staff, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Valid driver's licence.

Job Duties

Ensure compliance with DHET HR policies, Public Service prescripts and applicable legislation.
Assist with HR audits and compliance requirements.
Supervise, allocate and monitor the work of HR staff.
Promote effective, professional and customer-focused HR service delivery.
Perform other related HR duties assigned by the supervisor.
