What You’ll Do
- Perform final reviews and approvals of engineering designs to ensure compliance with established principles.
- Coordinate design efforts across different disciplines, ensuring seamless integration with current technologies.
- Pioneer innovative engineering services and management methods to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Manage the execution of strategic plans by providing appropriate structures, systems, and resources.
- Set and monitor engineering maintenance standards and specifications to achieve optimal operational availability.
- Oversee the financial management of engineering services, ensuring funds are available to meet objectives.
- Manage the operational capital project portfolio, aligning resources with organizational needs.
- Facilitate risk management practices, including compiling risk logs and providing technical consulting services.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous professional development within the engineering team.
- Lead and develop human resources to ensure a competent knowledge base for engineering services.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 / Matric certificate and a qualification at NQF Level 7 recognized by SAQA in B Engineering or BSc in Engineering.
- A minimum of six years post-qualification experience as a registered Professional Engineer.
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
- A valid driver’s license (exemptions apply for persons with disabilities).
- Strong competencies in strategic capability and leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and team leadership.
- Proficient in financial management, customer focus, communication, and people management skills.
- Technical knowledge in programme and project management, engineering compliance, and maintenance skills.
