What You’ll Do

  • Provide strategic direction for civil engineering services in municipalities.
  • Manage the diagnostic processes for identifying poorly performing municipalities.
  • Oversee assessments of municipal infrastructure planning and development.
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of municipal support throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.
  • Develop, review, and implement municipal sector master plans.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering norms, standards, and regulations.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate Civil Engineering Degree (B Eng/BSc Eng) or equivalent qualification at NQF 7 recognized by SAQA.
  • At least six years of relevant post-qualification experience in civil engineering.
  • Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and financial management.
  • Excellent communication skills and a client-oriented approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering design, analysis, and contract management.
