What You’ll Do
- Oversee the collection and analysis of information and statistical data related to counter-corruption cases.
- Maintain detailed records of information collected and analysed for effective reporting.
- Manage the interpretation of raw and statistical data into meaningful insights for departmental use.
- Establish and maintain a knowledge library focused on counter-corruption and security services.
- Provide strategic direction on statistical profiling, trends, and analysis to support investigations.
- Conduct research on national and international trends concerning irregularities and unlawful conduct.
- Offer project support to business units and law enforcement agencies throughout investigations.
- Provide feedback on risk areas, system weaknesses, and inefficiencies within the department.
- Ensure the implementation of strategic objectives and innovative initiatives within the Chief Directorate.
- Manage human, physical, and financial resources effectively.
- Coach and guide staff on compliance with regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Operations Management, Business Management or Administration, Public Management or Administration, or related at an NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Senior Management level in Public Services or Operations Management.
- Strong knowledge of the Constitution of South Africa and relevant public service legislative frameworks.
- Familiarity with the Strategic Intelligence Act, Protection of Information Act, and Criminal Procedure Act.
- Excellent project management skills and experience using online systems.
- A valid driver’s license is an advantage, along with a willingness to travel and work extended hours.
- Completion of the Senior Management Services Pre-entry Certificate upon appointment.
- Skills in strategic leadership, client orientation, financial management, and program/project management.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
