What You’ll Do

• Oversee the development, planning, and implementation of educational policies for further education and training.
• Ensure compliance with national and provincial educational frameworks and regulations.
• Manage the administration of public examinations, including question paper creation and marking.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including organized labour and educational institutions.
• Provide strategic leadership and contribute to the department’s overall direction.
• Empower and develop staff through coaching and skills transfer.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of educational policies and programs.
• Manage resources efficiently, including human resources and finances.

What You’ll Need

• A recognised Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) relevant to the field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of education policies and legislation relevant to further education and training.
• Strong managerial and service delivery skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• A postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
