What You’ll Do

  • Provide support to the Head of Department and senior managers on compliance with financial regulations.
  • Coordinate an effective Supply Chain Management System within the Department.
  • Manage financial accounting services and ensure timely preparation of financial documents.
  • Oversee the external audit process and facilitate communication with internal and external auditors.
  • Contribute to leadership by developing a medium-term financial strategy and managing the annual budgeting process.
  • Address cross-organizational issues, including risk and performance management, to enhance corporate governance.
  • Lead the provision of administrative support services to facilitate operational efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • A recognised Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 in Accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role, specifically in Public Financial Management.
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Management and preparation of Annual Financial Statements.
  • Familiarity with Corporate Governance principles and practices.
  • A Pre Entry SMS or Nyukela Certificate is required prior to appointment.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • Strong skills in planning, report writing, decision-making, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in financial management and change management practices.
  • Effective communication and analytical thinking abilities.
