The Department of Trade and Industry is seeking a dedicated Chief Director: Business Regulations & Governance to be based in Polokwane. What You’ll Do

• Manage the Business Regulation and Governance Chief Directorate effectively.
• Implement the Limpopo Business Registration Act and the Limpopo Liquor Act.
• Oversee all Business Registration centres within the province.
• Lead initiatives to promote a healthy trading environment in the liquor industry.
• Coordinate with national and local stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Facilitate policy development and create strategic business plans.
• Manage resources (financial, human, and physical) according to regulatory directives.
• Provide support services for the Liquor Board and Consumer Court.

What You’ll Need

• An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7) in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Public Administration, Law).
• A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least five years of experience at a senior managerial level.
• Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
• Strong strategic capability and leadership skills.
• Experience in programme and project management.
• Knowledge of the legislative framework governing Business Regulations and Consumer Affairs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
