What You’ll Do

• Manage the daily operations of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD)
• Oversee human resource management, including staff training and development
• Ensure financial resource management within the department
• Maintain infrastructure and equipment to meet operational standards
• Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols within the department
• Supervise the cleaning, sterilizing, and packing of medical instruments
• Conduct continuous evaluations of staff performance and departmental processes
• Report defects and manage elementary stock control of sterilization supplies

What You’ll Need

• General Education and Training Certificate (GETC/Grade 9) as a minimum educational qualification
• Relevant experience in Sterilisation and Decontamination Services as an Operator
• Previous supervisory experience within a healthcare environment
• Strong knowledge of steam sterilization practices and decontamination processes
• Excellent numeracy and analytical thinking skills
• Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required
