What You’ll Do
- Manage the daily operations of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD)
- Oversee human resource management, including staff training and development
- Ensure financial resource management within the department
- Maintain infrastructure and equipment to meet operational standards
- Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols within the department
- Supervise the cleaning, sterilizing, and packing of medical instruments
- Conduct continuous evaluations of staff performance and departmental processes
- Report defects and manage elementary stock control of sterilization supplies
What You’ll Need
- General Education and Training Certificate (GETC/Grade 9) as a minimum educational qualification
- Relevant experience in Sterilisation and Decontamination Services as an Operator
- Previous supervisory experience within a healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of steam sterilization practices and decontamination processes
- Excellent numeracy and analytical thinking skills
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required
