What You’ll Do
- Provide effective cashier services to clients at the Department of Home Affairs.
- Process cash transactions and issue receipts and invoices accurately.
- Endorse applications where cash payments have been received.
- Conduct cashing-up procedures at shift changes and the end of the day.
- Securely bank cash under supervision and maintain accurate records.
- Follow front-end procedures and policies while assisting with other front office functions as needed.
- Advise clients and guide them to the appropriate service points.
- Implement risk and compliance measures in line with relevant legislation.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate at NQF level 4 recognized by SAQA.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and cashier services.
- Understanding of accounting processes, departmental legislation, and public service regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team.
