What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and facilitate advocacy programs around HIV/AIDS, TB, and life skills education in schools.
- Implement interventions to prevent learner pregnancies and substance abuse.
- Assist public schools in planning and executing social mobilization efforts, such as World AIDS Day commemorations.
- Liaise with Head Office regarding funding and monitor spending for various interventions.
- Facilitate training and development for teachers and learners on HIV/AIDS and TB programs.
- Monitor and report on the functioning of Care and Support Assistants in schools.
- Oversee the implementation of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) program.
- Provide support in the provisioning of Learning and Teaching Support Material to schools.
- Ensure that HIV/AIDS, TB, and Life Skills Education programs are effectively implemented in accordance with national and provincial guidelines.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent, plus a three-year qualification in Education, Health, or Social Sciences.
- At least one year of relevant administrative experience.
- A valid Driver’s Licence.
- Knowledge of national HIV/AIDS and TB policies, and Life Skills education.
- Understanding of financial and supply chain management processes.
- Proficiency in computer applications, especially Excel and MS Word.
- Strong report writing, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in at least two official languages of the Western Cape Government.
