What You’ll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and other relevant legislation.
- Investigate reported cases of labour law violations, collecting evidence and enforcing regulations where necessary.
- Execute proactive blitz inspections to monitor compliance and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Run advocacy campaigns to educate and inform stakeholders about labour rights and responsibilities.
- Assist in drafting inspection plans, compiling reports, and maintaining statistics on cases handled.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant qualification (NQF6) in Labour Relations, BCOM Law, or LLB, with a minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
- A valid driver’s licence to facilitate travel between inspection sites.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong facilitation, planning, and organisational skills, complemented by proficiency in computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to conduct interviews effectively.
