What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and manage audiology services for designated areas.
• Conduct clinical assessments and interventions for patients referred to audiology services at primary healthcare facilities.
• Efficiently manage physical resources and support staff, including Rehab Care Workers, students, and volunteers.
• Participate in educational and training activities to enhance team capabilities.
• Liaise and collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
• Screen, assess, and intervene as necessary to meet patient needs.
• Link patients to appropriate levels of care for ongoing support.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Audiologist or a Speech Therapist and Audiologist.
• HPCSA registration as an Audiologist.
• For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration for South African qualified employees; one year of relevant experience for foreign qualified employees.
• For Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience post-registration for South African qualified employees; 11 years for foreign qualified employees.
• For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years relevant experience post-registration for South African qualified employees; 21 years for foreign qualified employees.
• Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Khayelitsha/Eastern Sub-structure.
• Competency in assessing, developing, and implementing audiology interventions, with knowledge of relevant legislation and basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
