What You’ll Do

  • Provide support to the Nursing Service Manager and assist in the overall management of nursing services.
  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in accordance with set standards.
  • Manage resources efficiently to maintain an optimal healthcare environment.
  • Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department.
  • Compile reports as required and engage in continuous professional growth and self-development.
  • Facilitate in-service training and development for nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and a Basic Qualification accredited with the SANC (such as a diploma or degree in nursing) allowing for registration as a Professional Nurse.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in unit or ward management, with at least three years at a management level.
  • Strong leadership qualities complemented by effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities, with a capacity to work under pressure.
  • Proficient report writing skills and computer literacy.
  • A valid driver’s license.
