What You’ll Do

  • Ensure that clinical nursing practice aligns with established nursing standards and scope of practice.
  • Promote quality nursing care consistent with professional practices and facility standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Health and Safety regulations and Infection Prevention and Control Policies.
  • Monitor and report on nursing indicators and Neonatal Care Standards.
  • Support human resource and financial policies in daily operations.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Uphold the principles of Batho Pele, ensuring patient rights are respected and integrated into care delivery.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification allowing SANC registration as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification accredited by SANC in the relevant specialty, with a duration of at least one year.
  • At least 10 years of appropriate nursing experience post-registration, with a minimum of 6 years in the specialty and 3 years in a management role.
  • Sound knowledge of the PFMA, Labour Relations, and Public Service Acts.
  • Excellent managerial, communication (written and verbal), report writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a multi-disciplinary team.
