What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage nursing teams within the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and practices.
  • Oversee and promote quality nursing care in alignment with the facility’s policies and protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant health legislation and ethical practices, including infection prevention and control measures.
  • Monitor and report on performance indicators and nursing care standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive work environment following the Health and Safety Act.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 qualification (Diploma/degree in Nursing) or equivalent, registered with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • A post-basic nursing qualification in Intensive Nursing Science, lasting at least one year, accredited with the SANC.
  • Minimum of 10 years recognisable experience in nursing after registration, with at least 6 years in a specialty area and 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including PFMA and Public Service Acts.
  • Excellent managerial, communication, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
