What You’ll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership for clinical teaching and learning programs.
  • Champion continuous professional development and in-service training for nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for effective healthcare planning.
  • Liaise with higher education institutions to ensure alignment of academic programs and maintain accreditation status.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve nursing care education programs and clinical skills training.
  • Support health science trainees in achieving their learning outcomes.
  • Manage budgets and expenditures responsibly within your area of responsibility.
  • Engage in effective communication and foster relationships across departments.

What You’ll Need

  • Basic R425 Qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Nursing or equivalent, allowing registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • Minimum of 8 years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Post Basic/Graduate qualification in Nursing Education (at least one year).
  • Current SANC registration.
  • Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Nursing Act, and other relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict management skills.
  • Proven ability in project management and report writing.
  • A valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
