What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate, implement, and monitor nursing strategies that align with departmental objectives.
  • Manage the quality of nursing care, ensuring adherence to established standards and legal frameworks.
  • Oversee human resource management, including staff development and performance evaluations.
  • Handle financial aspects related to nursing operations, including budget management and resource allocation.
  • Collect and analyze data for reporting purposes and develop interventions to improve nursing practices.
  • Contribute to policy development and implementation to enhance service delivery within the nursing department.
  • Act as a deputy for the Deputy Manager Nursing, contributing to leadership tasks as needed.

What You’ll Need

  • A Basic R425 qualification or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in nursing, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
  • Valid Code (B/EB) driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to work shifts, public holidays, and weekends.
  • Strong understanding of nursing legislation, ethical practices, and quality assurance standards.
  • Excellent managerial, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
