What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership for nursing education and training programs.
- Champion continuous professional development (CPD) and in-service training for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support strategic planning initiatives.
- Liaise with higher education institutions to align academic programs with clinical needs.
- Monitor and evaluate nursing education programs to ensure high standards of practice.
- Manage the budget and expenditures related to nursing training and development.
- Engage in effective communication between departments and health professionals.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports regarding training and educational outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- Basic R425 Qualification (Diploma/Degree) in Nursing or equivalent, with registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC.
- Minimum of 8 years of nursing experience post-registration, including 3 years in a management role.
- A Post Basic/Graduate qualification in Nursing Education of at least one year’s duration.
- Current registration receipt with the SANC.
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, the Nursing Act, and financial management principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.
