What You’ll Do
- Facilitate employer services functions throughout the province, ensuring smooth operations.
- Coordinate the assessment, validation, and adjudication of unemployment insurance claims.
- Oversee registry services and manage local appeals and complaints related to unemployment insurance.
- Provide general support and management of resources within the unit to optimize service delivery.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the unemployment insurance system.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Operations Management, Public Management, Business Administration, or a related field at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
- A minimum of four years’ experience, with at least two years in a functional operations environment and two years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA) and Public Financial Management Act (PFMA).
- Excellent computer skills, report writing abilities, and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in people management, time management, customer relations, and supervisory skills.
