What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement the business plan aligned with the department’s strategic objectives.
- Manage demand forecasting and acquisition processes to ensure timely procurement of necessary resources.
- Oversee effective asset management practices to maintain organizational efficiency.
- Coordinate purchasing and stores management to optimize inventory levels.
- Provide comprehensive transport management services to enhance operational support.
- Handle financial, administrative, and related functions effectively to ensure smooth operations.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate undergraduate qualification at NQF level 6 in Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, or a recognized equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience at a lower management or supervisory level in Supply Chain Management.
- A valid motor vehicle driver’s licence (not required for persons with disabilities).
- Strong knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Acts, policies, and procedures.
- Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and The White Paper on the Transformation of the Public Service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage conflict and analyze policies.
- Strong problem analysis and analytical thinking capabilities, along with good report writing skills.
- Honesty, confidentiality, and customer care skills, coupled with logistical literacy.
